Ax Man

Alternately titled: Rome wasn't built in a day.

We spent yesterday cutting down and chopping up trees. Winter's coming. I don't know when it'll be here, I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop but so far we've had some really lovely fall weather. Maybe this is normal, obviously we've not been here long enough to know but from what I understand the warmish temps we've been having is a bit unusual. I'll take what we can get!

This property has been slightly neglected for a really long time when it come to trees and brush. I'd like to go out on a limb and say the majority of it's been very neglected but it's understandable...there's a lot here!

There is years and years and years worth of wood to be burned just laying around. We cut and stacked about a cord yesterday (Saturday) and today we're cutting down bush trees. The goat girls are gorging themselves!

It will take years and years to get all the underbrush cleaned up...that and many weekends with a chipper shredder. Rome wasn't built in a day!
